| A child must be five
years of age before the first day of September of the school
year for admission to kindergarten. Admission to first grade
is limited to those who have attained the age of six years
before the first day of September of the school year. A birth
certificate is required along with proof of immunizations and
district residency (deed or rental lease only) in order to
be accepted into the schools. |

| Kindergarten registration
is held in the spring of each year. Parents are notified of
kindergarten screenings and orientations. Additional information
is provided to instruct parents regarding proper paperwork
required and immunization records. |

Enrollment of students
who are already of school age can be accomplished by furnishing
a transcript of the student’s records from his/her
previous school and proof of residency (deed or rental lease
only). Parents should contact the principal in the appropriate
building for an appointment. Contact the administration office
at 412- 884-6300 for the school attendance area of your residence
in order to determine which elementary school a student would
attend. Students can enroll in the schools at any time throughout
the school year.

| The district does not
accept tuition students. Parents must be residents of the Baldwin-Whitehall
School District, residing in the communities of Baldwin Borough,
Baldwin Township, or Whitehall Borough, in order to enroll
their children in the schools. |

| Tours of the buildings
can be accommodated for parents by contacting the individual
building principal. |
